The festivities began outside the front doors of Ted's Montana Grill at 10 a.m. Spectators were gathered at the scene to watch appearances from characters including Disney princesses, Star Wars stormtroopers and the Six Flags mascot.
A nursing student dressed as a witch doctor told Channel 2's Pam Martin that he was attending the event for the tenth time for the escapism.
"I'm here to...not be myself, to be somebody else, to blow off some stress and just have a good time," said Chris Moore, of Lawrenceville.
