Corporate Asia Frets About the Fed


A volatile year across Asia with a currency crisis in India; sputtering growth and spiking interest rates in China; and fresh protests in the streets of Thailand. But overall corporate sentiment in the region has been weakened by an institution, far far away in Washington: the Federal Reserve. The latest Thomson Reuters Insead Asia Corporate Sentiment Index fell to 62 in the fourth quarter of 2013 - still well above the positive threshold of 50, but a second consecutive quarter of decline.
