ATLANTA — Close friends capture $50K instant win in Clayton County

ATLANTA – Longtime friends Deborah Roberts and Linda Mosely of Jackson will share a $50,000 prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Maximum Fortune.

Kroger #0413, 10375 Tara Blvd. in Jonesboro, sold the winning ticket.

For Roberts and Mosely, the instant win is shocking.

“We usually split scratch offs,” explained Mosely, 66. “We’re ecstatic!”

Roberts, 57, and Mosely live and work together as secretaries.

The Georgia Lottery instant game Maximum Fortune is loaded with cash prizes, including $1 million top prizes.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
