Chatsworth man selects $77K in Fantasy 5 winnings

ATLANTA — A Chatsworth man is welcoming a jackpot prize from the Georgia Lottery. David Greeson, 51, was one of three players to win a $77,921 jackpot prize from the Feb. 25 Fantasy 5 drawing, matching all five winning numbers.

Winning numbers from the drawing were: 5-7-11-23-31.

Walnut Express, 2524 E. Walnut Ave. in Dalton, sold the lucky combination. Two additional tickets with jackpot prizes also were sold in Forest Park and on www.mygalottery.com.

The winning numbers were of significance to Greeson because they were in memory of his wife.

“I needed something to lift me up,” he shared. “I may take a couple of trips.”

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
