Car Crashes Into Parked Car, Gas Pump

CUMMING, Ga.,None — A driver knocked out a gas station pump after crashing into a parked car.

The crash happened Monday at 9:12 a.m.

A 39-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord on Highway 20 in Cumming when he veered out of the street and into a car parked in a parking lot, Cumming police said. Medics said he may have suffered a seizure, but further medical investigation is forthcoming.

The driver then crashed into a gas pump at a Shell station at the intersection of Canton Road and Elm Street. Surveillance video showed the car slamming directly into the pump, sending pieces flying across the lot. Pieces of the pump also damaged a third vehicle, Cumming police said.

The Honda driver was taken to North Fulton Hospital for minor injuries. Charges against him are pending, police said.
