ATLANTA — Breakdancers from across the Southeast made their way to downtown Atlanta over the weekend. They had one thing in mind, to battle on the dance floor.

The participants were in town to participate in Loose Screws 14. It's an annual b-boy jam. B-boy is the term given to males who take part in such events.

Loose Screws 14 included several workshops, a kids battle and an all-style competition in addition to the b-boy jam.

Both the all-style contest and the b-boy jam were 2 vs. 2 competitions, but none of them were limited to just men. Several women participated, too.

Teams of two would enter the 20 foot by 10 foot floor and one by one, each competitor would show off their moves for the three judges. Each competitor had about a minute to perform before the next b-boy moved in. The winning team advanced through the tournament bracket. The loser called it a night.

In the all-style competition, the winning team was Alchemy. The team won $800 for first place. The second place team walked away with $200.
