PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Peachtree City fire and police officials are investigating how a 13-year-old fell through a skylight and died at a nearby airport.
Emergency crews were called to the Peachtree City-Falcon Field Airport just after 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Investigators said a 13-year-old boy fell through a skylight in the roof of the main airport hangar.
Crews said the boy fell about 25 feet.
The hangar is currently being re-roofed.
The boy was transported to Piedmont-Fayette Hospital where he passed away. OSHA has been contacted about the incident and are expected to be out at the airport early next week to begin its own investigation.
