Three Shot Outside Six Flags

Wednesday, July 5, 2006 – updated: 9:05 am EDT July 5, 2006

A fight inside the Six Flags amusement park may have sparked a shooting just outside the park that left three people wounded.

Police say a gunman inside a car opened fire on a group of people at a MARTA bus stop around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"One of the guys in the passenger side was doing the shooting," said Troy Griggs, a witness to the attack.

Investigators tell Channel 2 Action News it appears the victims were innocent bystanders who were not involved in the fight inside the park. They are all expected to recover from their wounds.

Witnesses say the fight was between two groups of teens who got into an argument inside the park. One of the groups left promising to shoot and kill the other teens.
