JACKSON COUNTY -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is on the scene of a body found in a bag in a rural part of the county.

The body was found near some woods next to a sod farm on Highway 332 just west of Jefferson and northeast of Braselton.

Workers on the farm doing routine work found the body Friday morning. One worker said he did not believe the person who left the body intended for it to be hidden -- he says it was in plain view at the edge of the field.

There are no details on the victim at this time.
