Train Vs. Semi: Train Wins

UNION CITY -- A semi-truck in Union City got tangled up in a rail crossing and was hit by an oncoming train shortly before 10 a.m. Friday.The incident happened at the Gresham Street and US 29 intersection.The semi-truck was carrying vegetable oil when it was hit by the northbound CSX freight train. The train pushed the semi-truck down the tracks before stopping.Traffic has been impacted in the immediate area.No injuries have been reported.
