Police officers were called in to direct traffic and keep the lines of evacuees waiting to apply for aid orderly.

Evacuees from the hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast overwhelmed the relief agency with requests for housing, clothing, food and cash. And more evacuees are on the way.

State health officials say they're preparing for as many as 25-thousand more evacuees from Hurricane Katrina to come to the Atlanta area. The 20-county area already has become home to thousands of people from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, and chartered commercial flights carrying evacuees are expected to start again as early as tomorrow.
