HAPEVILLE -- Hapeville police have charged a 15-year-old with identity theft.
The teenager is accused of using a computer to gather personal information on people. Police say he established a fake business using his grandmother's home address in Atlanta, where he had automated teller machine and credit cards sent.
His purchases included a used police car. Investigators have identified at least 20 victims. One person had at least seven-thousand dollars withdrawn from his checking account.
This isn't the first time the teen has been in trouble with the law. Authorities say two years ago he was caught buying surplus police cars on e-Bay, using stolen credit cards.
