Suspicious Package Closes Peachtree Street

ATLANTA -- Police on Wednesday reopened two blocks of Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta after a suspicious package was found near a Sun Trust bank.
Police sent in a bomb-detecting robot to determine the package's contents, which prompted authorities to shut down Peachtree Street at Peachtree Circle along with Spring and South Rhodes streets.No injuries were reported and the package was removed. It was not immediately clear if the package was harmful.
