2nd Atlanta plane crash victim ID'd

ATLANTA — The Fulton County Medical Examiner has identified the second victim in a northwest Atlanta plane crash as 23-year-old Brittany McAuley.

The medical examiner said her home address is listed in New York.

The pilot of the plane was identified on Wednesday as Peter J. Mallen, 67, of Atlanta. Mallen, a licensed pilot, was the CEO of Norcross-based Mallen Industries.

The plane went down just after 7 p.m. Tuesday in the area of the 2200 block of Thomas Road.

Thomas Road  is in the area of Bolton Road, South Cobb Drive and Interstate 285 and the Georgia Power Plant.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane had just taken off from Fulton County Airport and was on its way to New Orleans.
