Firefighter Involved In Rollover Crash

A Morgan County firefighter is recovering at Atlanta Medical Center after his vehicle rolled over Friday morning, officials said.

Morgan County Fire Chief Chris Byrd said firefighter Kevin Stephenson was on the way from home to the fire station when he was involved in a single vehicle crash. Stephenson was going to the station to respond to a call.

Stephenson was air lifted to AMC. Byrd said Stephenson is suffering from partial paralysis and the fire department is awaiting more information on the full extent of his injuries.

State troopers are investigating the crash.

Byrd said Stephenson recently got married and is the father of a 16-month-old baby.

He is asking firefighters across the state to come up with ideas to help the Stephenson family.
