Bullets Fly Inside Recording Studio; 1 Dead

A 24-year-old recording studio engineer was shot multiple times in what police believe was an attempted robbery.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday at Stack'em Entertainment in the 2900 block of Stone Hogan Connector in southwest Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Darryn Moore spoke with Maj. Keith Meadows of the Atlanta Police Department. Meadows said it all started with a knock at the door. When the victim opened the door, Meadows said two men entered the building, an altercation followed and the victim was shot several times. He died at the scene. Other person was shot in the arm and leg, but was able to run from the studio and get help.

Moore also spoke with the victim’s father, who identified his son as Desmond Wilson. He said Wilson made a living creating and selling beats for upcoming artists. He also said Wilson has a 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter.
