GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- The Gwinnett County’s Sheriff’s Office made a major cocaine bust in the parking lot of a Best Buy in Duluth Wednesday, authorities said.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $600,000.

Authorities said a caller’s tip about drug activity occurring at a home on Redfield Drive in Norcross led sheriff’s deputies to the drugs. The sheriff’s office received information that drugs were being sold at the location.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they saw a vehicle leave the residence and followed it to the Best Buy parking lot on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.

Authorities obtained a search warrant which led them to the seizure. Investigators said the drugs were found in a vehicle parked in the Best Buy parking lot.

Deputies also seized drug packaging material and other drug-related items at the residence.

Arrest warrants are being sought and the investigation is continuing.
