4 Arrested In Craigslist Sex Sting

Police arrested four Atlanta women in a prostitution sting connected to the Internet site Craigslist, according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

“The prostitutes come in (from Atlanta) for the weekend. We usually see them popping up on Thursday,” Columbus Police Sgt. William Gasaway told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. “All over town.”

Gasaway said the women were using Craigslist to advertise for customers. They were staying at a Days Inn.

“We find prostitutes using all kinds of electronic social networking to get customers these days,” he told the Columbus newspaper.

One of the Atlanta woman arrested was just 15, but Gasaway said she appeared older.

“She could have passed for 18," he said.

In addition to the unidentifed juvenile, police arrested Cassandra Geotcha, 20, of Douglasville, Tammy Baughman, 26, of Atlanta and Brittnay Davis, 20, of Atlanta.

Because they were with the underage girl, police charged all three women with child molestation and enticing a child for an indecent purpose. Police also charged all three with prostitution and drug possession.

Officers also charged Baughman with pimping.
