Kennesaw World Market Store Robbed

Cobb County authorities are investigating after a man robbed a Kennesaw World Market store.

Police said a white male approached the store manager of the Cost Plus World Market store on Barrett Parkway around 7:15 p.m. Monday.

Officials said the man discretely displayed a gun that was tucked in his waistband and demanded the manager lead him to the store’s safe. The manager complied.

After receiving an unknown amount of cash, police said the man then made the manager leave the store with him.

The man had the manager escort him down the sidewalk to an adjacent business, then he fled on foot.

The manager returned to the World Market store and called police. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches and about 160 pounds. He was wearing an “AC Delco” baseball cap, a dark-colored jacket and a green and white striped Polo shirt.

Anyone with any information about the crime is asked to call (770) 499-3945.
