Fire Spreads From Van To SUV To House

A LaGrange homeowner wants to hammer out an agreement with Home Depot to cover fire damage to his SUV and house.

Stephen D'Angelo had a Home Depot contractor installing carpet at his home recently, when the installer's van caught fire while parked in D'Angelo's driveway.

The fire spread to D'Angelo's Infinity, and severely damaged his home.

D'Angelo emailed a picture of the burning vehicles to Channel 2 Action News consumer investigator Jim Strickland.

D'Angelo told Strickland that both Home Depot and the contractor want D'Agelo's insurance to pay for the damages.

Strickland will have a full report on the fire and the fight over who pays for the damages on Channel 2 Action News at 5.
