Police On Alert For Lunchtime Bank Robber

Police are waiting Friday to see if the lunchtime bank robber will strike again this week.

A robber recently has hit seven metro Atlanta banks close to lunchtime and dressed in a similar outfit.

The thief has worn a variety of baseball caps pulled down low and a pair of sunglasses. Although most of the robberies have been around noon, he has also hit later in the day and early in the morning.

He always seems to escape in a burgundy or maroon Chevy Tahoe missing a rear hub cap.

The robber has hit the same bank twice and might be superstitious. He skipped Friday the 13th, but robbed a bank on the Thursday before that day.

Investigators said he has not shown a weapon during the robberies, but sometimes keeps his hand jammed in his pocket, acting as if he is carrying a gun.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of this robber.
