Gun Tip Prompts Lockdown At Clayton School

A Clayton County school was on lockdown for more than three hours following a report of a gun on campus.

Clayton County police said a female student at North Clayton High School reported seeing a student with a handgun on campus at about 1 p.m.

School officials then called police and the school was placed on lockdown.

By 3:30, the students were released. No gun was found.

No injuries were reported.
