Man Accused Of Killing Ex-Girlfriend's Dad

Floyd County police said a gunman suspected in two shootings that left one man dead and another injured has surrendered.

Capt. Mark Wallace said 26-year-old Tim Spriggs Jr. is accused of shooting and killing John Davis, 46, the father of his ex-girlfriend.

Wallace said Spriggs later drove to a house occupied by his former girlfriend, her brother, Scott Sulsberger, an infant and another woman, and forced his way inside.

Spriggs shot and wounded Sulsberger.

Wallace said the women and child were not injured but were still taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Spriggs then fled through a wooded area. He was arrested around 6:15 p.m. and was being questioned by Floyd County police.
