Police in metro Atlanta and at least six states are searching for a bank robber dubbed the "Granddad Bandit."

Security cameras caught the gray haired man robbing two banks in metro Atlanta, according to Gregory Jones, special agent in charge in the FBI office in Atlanta.

Cameras were also rolling when the grandfatherly man robbed banks in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, New York, Texas and Virginia, Jones said in a news release.

The robber hands a note to a teller and after getting his cash, quietly leaves the bank, according to the FBI.

Investigators described the "Granddad Bandit" as a white male, 50-60 years old, 6' - 6'4" tall and weighing 220-250 pounds. He is bald with short gray hair on the sides and wears prescription glasses.

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information about the robber.

Anyone with information should call the Atlanta FBI at 404-679-9000.
