Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators said they have two teenagers in custody in connection with the burglary of video equipment at a local high school after the father of one of the suspects turned them in.

Police said two people – a boy and a girl – were caught on surveillance tape running through the field house at North Hall High School Oct. 15 after a junior varsity football game.

The pair were caught on tape stealing camera and electronic equipment valued at approximately $5,000, police said.

Officials said the father of one of the suspects recognized his child once the surveillance video was posted on wsbtv.com and aired on Channel 2 Action News.

The father turned the pair over to authorities at North Hall High School Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested and charged Erin Kelsey Pruett, 17, and Christopher Latlippe, 18, both of Dawsonville. Both were charged with one count of burglary.

Investigators are now in the process of recovering the stolen electronic equipment from a Dawsonville Pawn Shop, police said.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
