Atlanta Man Wins Lottery For Second Time

Posted: 4:42 pm EDT October 29, 2009

An Atlanta man, who won the lottery 11 years ago, has pinned a second Georgia Lottery win.

Brian Page, 52, won $250,000 from matching the first five winning numbers in the Oct. 9 Mega Millions drawing.

“Lightning does strike twice,” he said. “It feels good.”

Winning $201,956 in 1998 playing Fantasy 5 has helped the Delta Air Lines employee make home improvements and pay off bills.

“The second time is sweeter, and the third time will be a charm,” the father of two adult sons declared.

Winning numbers from the Oct. 9 Mega Millions drawing were: 3-14-21-24-51 and the Mega Ball was 14. The second prize ticket was purchased at Amoco Food Shop on Jonesboro Road in Lake City. He used a combination of numbers that his sons had given him and checked the Georgia Lottery’s Web site for results the following day.

“I started feeling it,” he said. “My heart started beating fast.”

Feeling good about his lottery win, Page and his wife, Carolyn, have no immediate plans.
