Atlanta Rapper Soulja Boy Arrested In Henry County

Police say Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy was arrested after police responded to complaints that a group of people had gathered at an abandoned house.

Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said Friday that when officers arrived Wednesday night, almost half of the 40 people assembled fled by foot. Later, a man identified as DeAndre Cortez Way, Soulja Boy's real name, returned to claim a Land Rover that was at the house.

"He walked back to the location wearing some bedroom slippers and indicated that was his vehicle," said Bolton.

Way said the group was shooting a video.

"If they were filming a video they didn't have much lighting," said Bolton.

Way was charged with obstruction and bonded out of the Henry County jail on Thursday. A telephone call made to his publicist was not immediately returned.
