Pawn Shop Owner Shoots Robber During Hold-Up

A pawn shop owner shot and wounded a robber Saturday during an attempted hold-up in south Fulton County.

When two men tried to rob the AA Pawn Shop on Old National Highway, the owner pulled his own gun and opened fire, according to Fulton County police.

One of the robbers, a 19-year-old man, was hit twice. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he reportedly is in stable condition after surgery.

There's no word on if charges will be filed against the pawn shop owner.
