Peachtree Road Reopened After Suspicious Package Scare

Atlanta police and Atlanta fire officials were called to a report of a suspicious package near the 3300 block of Peachtree Road in Buckhead Tuesday morning.

Peachtree Road was closed in both directions in the area while officials investigated. The road was reopened just after noon.

Fire officials gave the "all clear" just before 12:15 p.m.

Several businesses in the area had been evacuated, but they have also been allowed to return.
