Pedestrian Hit By Car On North Avenue

ATLANTA -- A woman said she was driving on North Avenue Tuesday evening when a man ran into the road and she hit him with her car.

The man smashed into her windshield.

The man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Atlanta police said.

The woman is not expected to be charged.

Federal law forbids paying welfare benefits to immigrants -- even legal immigrants. But a government investigation found that states all over the country are ignoring an important part of that law.
