2 Shot In Drive-By Near Atlanta School

ATLANTA — Atlanta police say two people were wounded in an early morning drive-by shooting near a northwest Atlanta high school.

Dispatchers say the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday in front of Douglass High School.

Police say a 28-year-old man was shot in the shoulder, and a second person, whose age and gender have not been released, was shot in the leg. The victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Police told Channel 2 Action News that someone opened fire on a car with three people inside shortly after the passengers left a northwest Atlanta nightclub.

Police say they're looking for a newer-model Ford Expedition in connection with the shooting.
