Neighbors Come To Injured Soldier's Aid

When combat medic Brian Hall served in Iraq, he took care of his follow soldiers.

Now, after suffering a serious head wound, Hall needs help. And his neighbors are coming to his aid.

Injured Soldier Needs $6,000 Specially Trained Dog

They are trying to raise $6,000 to pay for a service dog for Hall.

The dog, a doberman named T-Rex, would alert Hall when he is about to suffer a seizure and would help stablize Hall when he walks.

The Georgia Army National Guard veteran was wounded in September 2005 by an IED (improvised explosive device). The blast put him in a coma and on a ventilator for three weeks.

Hall underwent five surgeries and is still recovering from his injuries.

The Douglas County Commissioners are asking for 600 people to donate $10 each to help pay for the service dog.
