Woman Crushed, Dragged While Changing Tire

Clayton County police said a woman was lift-flighted to the hospital after her car crushed her while she was changing a tire.

The incident happened at a Shell Station on Jonesboro Road around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Clayton County police said the 20-year-old woman was changing a tire when the car fell and rolled forward 200-300 feet coming to a stop just before Hwy. 138. The woman was crushed and then dragged.

Officials said witnesses were able to flag down an ambulance that was stopped at nearby traffic light to get help.

The woman was life-flighted to Grady Memorial Hospital. There is no word on her condition.
