Posted: 4:24 pm EDT June 16, 2009Updated: 5:02 pm EDT June 16, 2009

All lanes of I-75 southbound in Clayton County were blocked due to a multi-car crash just after 4 p.m. Tuesday. All lanes reopened just after 5 p.m.

Clayton County police said there were two separate accidents involving a total of five vehicles.

One of the vehicles involved in a crash was a truck carrying dry cleaning chemicals and one of the containers of chemicals spilled. Since it was a flammable liquid, the fire department had to close the road until cleanup was complete.

All lanes were blocked by emergency vehicles on I-75 south between SR 85 south and I-285, but were reopened after an hour.

Four people suffered non-life threatening injuries.
