An Early County, Ga., sheriff's investigator said the body of a missing Alabama fisherman was recovered in the Chattahoochee River.

Chief Investigator Will Caudill identified the victim as 43-year-old Willie Earl Morrison, Jr., of Gordon, Ala.

Search and rescue teams found Morrison's body near Andrews Lock and Dam Wednesday around 1:30 p.m.

Teams from both Georgia and Alabama participated in the search.

Authorities said Morrison had gone fishing Sunday and was reported missing by family members when he failed to return home.

"He fished this area quite often," said Caudill.
