Diesel Mechanic Wins $1 Million In Lottery

A Grantville diesel mechanic has revealed a $1 million prize. Robert Baker Jr., 42, won playing the Georgia Lottery’s 15th Anniversary Millionaire Extravaganza instant game.

While getting gas at Money Back #0014, 1831 E. Main St. in Hogansville, Baker purchased the lucky ticket. He scratched half of the ticket in his car and the other half at the family-owned diesel mechanic shop.

“It was unbelievable,” he said. “I totally did not believe it at first."

The lucky lottery winner said he now plans to pay bills and invest the remainder of his winnings.

“It’s like a dream come true,” he shared.

Federal law forbids paying welfare benefits to immigrants -- even legal immigrants. But a government investigation found that states all over the country are ignoring an important part of that law.
