Teaching Assistant Accused Of Sex With Teen

Police in Coweta County said a Northgate High School teaching assistant had sex with a student and supplied him with drugs to sell at school.

Police arrested Ashley Brenetta Florence, 25, of College Park. Florence is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student. Police said she also gave him Xanax and Vicodin to sell at school.

Officials with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said Florence had been having sexual relations with the student since February.

She is charged with felony sexual assault against a person in custody, dangerous drugs to be kept in original container and felony possession of narcotics near school property. Police said Florence may face additional charges.

Florence was released on $9,500 bond. She has been terminated from Northgate High School.
