Police said it happened at Bank of America in the 1000 block of Main Street in Forest Park.

Authorities said the thieves left the forklift, which they stole from Cobb County, behind at the bank.

Police later recovered the stolen ATM a few miles away, but are still trying to track down those responsible.

Police said the thieves opened the ATM and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The bank does have surveillance, but police said they haven’t determined whether the theft was caught on tape.
