Weekend Early Voting Draws Hundreds In Coweta County

Hundreds of people headed to the polls Saturday in Coweta County to cast their votes early.

  • Coweta is one of the few Georgia counties to open polling places this weekend.

    With record numbers of early voters and long lines to vote reported across metro Atlanta, many people took advantage of the opportunity.

    They waited patiently at the County Administration Building on East Broad Street in Newnan.

    Registered Coweta County voters were allowed to cast their ballots from 9 a.m. to noon.

    So far, election officials said more than 18,000 early votes have been cast in Coweta County.

    The general election is Nov. 4.

    Polls open at 7 a.m., but you must vote at your precinct.
