Police arrested a suspect in metro Atlanta in the Denver, Colorado murder of a man known as the "Hot Dog Dude."

Charles Kendall Ford, 28, was arrested at a relative's house in Douglasville Thursday morning by U.S. Marshals from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF). Ford was wanted by the Denver Police Department for the murder of Quincy Henderson in Curtis Park on Sept. 10.

Henderson was gunned down after an argument with two men turned into a fistfight and one of the men pulled a gun, police said. Henderson was a street vendor with a large following of regular customers.

U.S. Marshals tracked Ford to the Atlanta area where he has relatives. Investigators figured out that Ford was moving around from place to place, staying in different locations with different people.

After an intense two week investigation, Marshals identified an address in Douglasville and established surveillance on the house. The location was a duplex where Ford's cousin was staying with her children.

When Ford was spotted Marshals moved in to arrest him. They found Ford hiding in an upstairs closet.

He is currently being held in the Douglas County Jail in Douglasville awaiting extradition to Colorado.
