There's a big college football Saturday ahead on WSB-TV Channel 2.

The games kick off with Georgia Tech facing Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., at 3:30 p.m.

Sports Zone Saturday will have highlights at 7 p.m. on WSB-TV Channel 2.

Then at 8 p.m. fifth-ranked Ohio State will take on No. 1 Southern Cal on WSB-TV Channel 2.

It looks like Ohio State won't have star running back Chris "Beanie" Wells for the game after all.

Coach Jim Tressel said Wells is doubtful due to lingering soreness in his right foot that was injured in the season opener two weeks ago.

It was hoped that Wells would be ready for the showdown with the top-ranked Trojans. Wells practiced Wednesday but that was it. Tressel said he'll wait to see how Wells progresses as kickoff approaches.

Wells, who injured his right foot in the fifth-ranked Buckeyes' opener against Youngstown State, did not play last week against Ohio and has not had contact in partial practices this week.

Meanwhile, The Los Angeles Coliseum will have a new look when the teams meet Saturday night. Fans entering the iconic stadium will enjoy $40 million in improvements, including two high-definition video boards and a state-of-the-art sound system.
