Body Found In Meriwether County

ATLANTA -- An artist and a skull might help the Georgia Bureau of Investigation identify a murder victim.Investigators from the GBI and the Meriwether County Sheriff's Department have been unable to identify skeletal remains found in Meriwether County January 13, 2007.LINK: More Unidentfied Victims At GBI Web Site Then GBI Forensic Artist Marla Lawson went to work.Using a skull found at the scene she built a model of what the possible murder victim might have looked like.The victim is believed to be that of a black male, approximately 5'6" to 6'2", with unknown hair or eye color.

The remains were off Bob White Road, near the intersection of Old Durand Road, less than five miles southwest of Greenville, Georgia.The body was in a wooded area approximately 150 feet from the dam of a small pond.If anyone has any information on the identity of this individual, please contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at 706-672-3302 or the Meriwether County Sheriff's Department at 706-672-4489.
