Gwinnett Sheriff's deputies seized more than 400 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop Tuesday on U. S. Highway 29 in Lilburn.

A K-9 deputy with the sheriff's department stopped Jorge Gonzalez-Vasquez, 28, of Lilburn on a traffic violation and observed 17 large bundles in the cargo area of the van in plain view, according to officials.

Gonzalez-Vasquez was charged with trafficking marijuana, following too close, no driver's license and a window tint violation.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $1.8 million. He is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
