MARTA Train Hits Woman

ATLANTA -- Atlanta emergency officials were called to the Oakland City MARTA Station on Lee Street Tuesday night just before 10 p.m. after a woman was hit by a MARTA train.Officials said the train was going northbound when a person either jumped or fell in front of the train.A woman was removed from under the MARTA car. She was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.Tracks had to be shut down for a short time while the victim was removed.The Oakland City MARTA station traffic is expected to be affected because of the accident.
