Imagine being trapped in your neighborhood for an hour or more.

Residents who live near the intersection of Oglesby Road and Five Oaks Court in Cobb County said they know the feeling.

Residents complained that when trains come through their Powder Springs neighborhood, it is impossible for them to get in or out of their subdivision.

Residents said sometimes, trains will actually park in their neighborhood, trapping them inside their subdivision and blocking emergency vehicles from entering the area.

Residents said they want something done about it.

Residents in the Five Oaks Subdivision said they have tried to get help from Norfolk-Southern, the company which operates the trains, but felt like they were being ignored.

Company representatives said they will ride on the tracks to assess the situation.
