Child Wearing 'Croc-Like' Shoes Gets Foot Stuck On Atlanta Airport Escalator

Escalator Is On 'T' Concourse

A child was injured Tuesday morning on an escalator at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The foot of the unidentified male child was caught in an escalator at the "T" concourse, according to airport spokesman Herschel Grangent. Due to the incident, the escalator was shut down Tuesday.

The child had to have surgery on his foot after the incident.

Emergency medical technicians and Atlanta police officers were at the scene about 10 a.m., Grangent said. Grangent told Channel 2 the child was wearing "Croc-like" shoes.

In June, a 3-year-old girl was injured when her foot was caught in an escalator at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Lexi Pregliasco was wearing a pair of Crocs when she was hurt.
