Deputy Forsyth County Coroner Jonathan Hill identified the teenager who drowned at Lake Lanier Friday.

Investigators said 17-year-old Ariel Cotuc Chaudjay of Duluth was swimming with friends at Little Ridge Park when he disappeared.

The Forsyth County Fire Department said rescuers found the victim’s body about 45 feet offshore.

Investigators said they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a part and authorities do not suspect foul play.

Investigators said Chaudjay was originally from Guatamala.
