The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a body found aboard a large cabin cruiser on Lake Lanier.

Authorities said the victim died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Holiday Marina is located in the 6900 block of Holiday Road in Buford.

Authorities said the carbon monoxide levels were so high that they had to open doors and windows to let the air out.

Investigators said the carbon monoxide came from a generator used to power an AC aboard the boat.
