Authorities in Suwanee are looking for two people they believe ran into a gas pump, causing it to burst into flames, before driving off.

Officials said a white man in a green shirt and khaki shorts was driving a black SUV, possibly an Escalade, Thursday evening at the AM/PM store on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road around 1:30 a.m.

Gas Pump Hit, Burst Into Flames

Officials said as the Escalade drove through the parking lot, they believe he struck one of the gas pumps which caused it to burst into flames causing approximately $30,000 in damage.

Authorities said after striking the pump, the man kept driving and left. Police said the front of the black SUV is likely damaged.

Police are also looking for the white woman who appeared to be traveling with the man in a separate vehicle, a white SUV.

Suwanee police are asking anyone who recognizes either individual to please contact them at 770-945-8995.
