COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Two people were stabbed at a senior citizen community in Cobb County Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened just after 11 a.m. at the Summerhill Apartments on Austell road in the 400 building.Authorities said an argument began between two men who live together in the same apartment.A 64-year-old man was severely stabbed several times and was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery. Neighbors said an elderly woman across the hall heard the commotion and went over to try and help and ended up getting cut, as well. She is expected to be OK.Officials have questioned a suspect.Residents said the situation is not a common occurrence at an apartment complex designed to keep senior citizens out of harms way.“My main concern when I moved here was I didn’t want a bunch of young people, so to her that it was someone that lived here, some of the old folks, that’s surprising. I’m amazed by that,” said Jerome Crum, a neighbor’s grandson. The male stabbing victim's condition has not yet been released.
